Coming on 4th February 2026 at 4:02 am, the Year of the Horse will arrive. In BaZi terms, this will specifically be the Year of the Fire Horse, or Bing Wu (丙午).
Many masters are suggesting this will be a particularly fiery year, as Bing is Fire and the Horse also carries the Fire element. They further note that this coincides with the onset of Period 9 (九运), which is also associated with the Fire element.
Consequently, they warn that those whose BaZi charts are already strong in Fire must be very cautious.
What is the Master Alan’s view on this?
赤马红羊劫 (Crimson Horse, Red Goat Calamity)
This Chinese phrase refers to a folk prophecy of great calamity during Fire Horse and Fire Goat years, attributed to excessive fire energy. It is believed this could lead to fire-related accidents or misfortune for individuals whose BaZi is already Fire-dominant.
Let me clarify a few points step by step.
First, BaZi 八字 and Feng Shui 风水 are separate disciplines. While their influences may occasionally align and intensify effects of each other, they should not be conflated.
Feng Shui is about properties while BaZi is about human destiny derived from their Date and Time of birth couple with their respective gender.
Period 9 is a concept within San Yuan Feng Shui theory, not San He. Its influence pertains primarily to properties and environments, not directly to individuals.
Moreover, some people possess special BaZi charts where Fire is a favorable element. For them, this year could bring breakthroughs and positive momentum. Why, then, should they worry?
There is no need for undue fear or hasty conclusions. A careful, personalized analysis is the best way to navigate any potential challenges.
Second, the “Crimson Horse” is traditionally paired with the “Red Goat” year that follows. Thus, it is more meaningful to consider both years together rather than in isolation.
Predicting Events
You can expect more fire accidents or calamity in the Horse year from the San Yuan 9 Stars Feng Shui perspective due to the fact Tai Sui is at the South sector.
Those who had their house feng shui before in Period 8 will have higher chance of problems.
Malaysia favourite Mall, Mid Valley Megamall in Kuala Lumpur will also see the chance of fire accidents.
BaZi Perpective
Do not need to worry about Fire horse until you have had your bazi read but a competent master.
For charts that favour Fire like Donald Trump, this is the year he can do well or get away with many things.
Let’s take a look at DS Najib Chart back in 2014, which was a horse year. That was the year that gave him many challenges with the dissappearance of MH370 (March) and downing of MH17 over Ukraine (July).
Yi Day master born in End Summer, fire is unfavourable to him. In 2014 was the year of wood horse or 甲午 where fire is strong. In march wood energy is very strong producing fire and hence the first tragedy. Then come July where the Fire is very strong and this led to the tragic happening of MH17.
All these gave him a lot of stress and anxiety. Would you like to guess for 2026?
At least 2 feng shui masters will be exposed to some tragedy because Fire element is unfavourable to them. Always remember this, that apart from Feng Shui, all human beings is subjected to their own BaZi.
Some feng shui masters prospered not because of their good feng shui skill but by virtue of their own good bazi which they themselves don’t even know. Let alone want to teach students. LOL. Just my sincere sharing to those out there who is lost and still seeking answers.
