Shen Sha method is well written in the old classical text of SAN MING TONG HUI 三命通會. Shen Sha 神煞 can be loosely translated to God Destruction method or some calls it God Killing which for me is errorneous. Personally I would like to call it Gods and Evil Spirit method.
Let’s kick start with the favourable ones.
One of the best God is the Heavenly Nobleman or the Tian Yi Gui Ren 天乙貴人 that this star that can resolve many bad things. So how do we use this table?
For example, if you are a Jia 甲 day master and you have either Wei 未 or Chou 丑 inside your BaZi then you are said to have this Star of Heavenly Nobleman. Similary, for a Yi 乙 day master, having a Shen 申 or Zi 子 is said to be having this Star too and it goes on.
People with HN will be bless with nobleman to guide them or open opportunities for them.

Next best is the 文昌貴人 Wen Chang Nobleman or the Literacy Nobleman. This type of God brings intelligence, knowledgeable or great talents。
A Ji 己 day master having You 酉 some where in their BaZi for example.Coincidently, I have a client and she is a PhD student is a Ji day master with a year of You 酉 the chicken.
干祿 Gan Lu or the Stem Fortune or Heavenly Fortune that signifies a stable growth of prosperity and having a strong foundation for protection of wealth.
Any Wu 戊 day master made a fortune in 2025 of the Snake 巳 year?
The negative one would be the Goat Blade or Yang Blade 羊刃.
淵海子平 Yuan Hai Zi Ping classics particulary warns us of Yang Blade as it brings injury due to overly aggressive or rebellious nature of Yang Blade.
This type of negative evil is only meant for Yang day masters for some reason. Perhaps it is meant to say that Yang day master should not be overly brave or else they become reckless. A Ren 壬 day master having a Zi 子 rat will mean having Goat Blade.
I do have a client having this but I dont see him as being very brave nor reckless. But again in standard BaZi concept it rat would mean a Rob Wealth! 劫财
紅艷煞 or Red Beauty Star represents romance encounters that could lead to problems or lustful but in modern context can also mean good attraction to the opposite sex. It can also mean people who likes to visit red zones. People having this Evil can also behave with a cold and emotional nature.
This would mean a Bing 丙 day master having a Yin 寅 or tiger in the Bazi. Anyone of you ?
My Take
While I am not a fan of Shen Sha method, this method is however popular among folks especially during Chinese New Year period where many practitioners will entertain their audience with this method because it is simple and had good entertainment factors.
Some practitioners will also add this layer into their BaZi consultation. It burdens the student trying hard to understand the truth in Astrology system when they have to wade through so many layers of information and trying to figure out what is right and wrong.
Thus you will see many of these hanging around forums waiting for freeloaders to ask questions and they will test out on them the various theories as an exchange.
Yes I am “entertained” too because based on this chart, it explains why my life is bad haha….Hope you will give a Free LIKE for this posting.
Why is it that when several BaZi masters gave her the same advice… it ended up damaging her career and life?
When I first reviewed her BaZi chart, I told her something very different. I explained that she had already enjoyed 20 years of strong career luck (two major luck cycles). However, once she entered the Xin Hai 辛亥 Luck Cycle, things would become much more challenging and her career momentum would likely decline.
She looked at me in shock and said, “You are the only sifu who told me this… and you are right.”
Before entering the Xin Hai Luck Cycle, her career was thriving. Opportunities came easily, and her bosses valued and supported her. Everything seemed to flow smoothly.
But in 2019, based on the advice of several previous BaZi readings, she resigned from her job. One consultant even warned her that she must resign before a certain month to avoid a possible life-threatening danger.
Trusting their advice, she did exactly that.
What followed was not the short break she expected. Instead, she struggled for six long years. She could not secure stable employment and survived only on short-term jobs until February 2026. Her savings were gradually drained, and the emotional toll nearly broke her.

Many masters are suggesting this will be a particularly fiery year, as Bing is Fire and the Horse also carries the Fire element. They further note that this coincides with the onset of Period 9 (九运), which is also associated with the Fire element.
Consequently, they warn that those whose BaZi charts are already strong in Fire must be very cautious.

What is the Master Alan’s view on this?
I got a question from my student’s friend when we bump into and over a coffee talk, he asked me this question “does manifesting work?”
Master Alan: “Why did you ask this question?”
Student’s Friend : “I have been trying but it seems it doesn’t work!”
“How long have you been trying?”
“For a couple of months and since most of my friends around me is doing this.

I was at an office in Cyberjaya and as my prediction on the premise was in the process and fell through the accuracy, then the client asked me if I can tell which month, the crisis happened.
They were being cheeky when the senior said, let he check and see if he is accurate.
I flip open the flying star chart and told them, September!. They were awed. This is the the strength of one system, the Wu Chang 9 Star Feng Shui system that is popular commercial name, known as Flying Star.

The previous master did not know why the business did not improved after the 2nd adjustment. Well, some people like to say Flying Star is not able to tell…that’s just a naughty marketing gimmick. They just never had the privilege to learn the authentic 9 Star system of Wu Chang.

The Man Who Came With Tan Sri Loh Boon Siew – But Died in Poverty.
In the early 1900s, two young men arrived in Penang from Hui’an County, Fujian, Southern China, in the same batch, both escaping poverty, both seeking a better life.
One became Tan Sri Loh Boon Siew, “Mr. Honda” – one of Penang’s wealthiest men. The other was my cousin’s father, a man with the surname T. (for privacy’s sake, I won’t reveal the surname)
He died in poverty!
Like Loh Boon Siew, Uncle T left Hui’an County, Fujian when he was only 17 years old, alone, chasing hope in a foreign land. While Loh Boon Siew built an empire, Uncle T became a trishaw rider, pedaling from morning till night, day after day, year after year.
Every evening, he’d come home exhausted. His wife, my maternal grandma’s younger sister – would have rice or broth ready with some salted fish, potatoes, or peanuts with soya sauce.
I remember watching him wallop three plates of rice with such appetite, joking with us kids, smiling through the exhaustion. A kind, jovial man, sometimes sharing food with us.
Every morning, he’d give his children 20 cents each, money earned from endless hours pedaling that trishaw under the hot sun. He raised nine children on a trishaw rider’s income.
Despite everything, Uncle T never went back to China once to see his family in Hui’an County. Why? Because he couldn’t afford it. And none of his nine children cared enough to pay for his trip!
As he grew old and sick, his children were indifferent. The daughter who took care of him was cruel and unfilial. I heard she made him crawl to get his food.
This man, who worked himself to the bone for nine children, died miserably, alone, abandoned by the very people he sacrificed everything for.
Not Every Story Ends in Success!
We love reading success stories. Rags to riches. Hard work pays off. Dreams come true. But the reality… not everyone who works hard becomes Tan Sri Loh Boon Siew.
Some work just as hard, sacrifice just as much, and die with nothing.
Uncle T came to Penang from the same county, in the same batch as a man who became a legend. But while Loh Boon Siew’s name is remembered, T’s is forgotten, except by those of us who saw his kindness, his laughter, and his endless labour.
Not all children turn out educated, successful, or grateful.
Not all hard work leads to wealth.
Not all kind hearts are rewarded.
Our Chinese diaspora stories are filled with heartbreak and stupendous sacrifices we can’t even comprehend.
Continue reading “Same Origin, Different Fate”Our story begins in the unassuming town of Muar, a place in southern Malaysia famous for the fragrant smoke of its otak-otak grills and the hum of its furniture workshops. It was here that a boy named Wee Meng Chee grew up, who would one day become the controversial and internationally known artist, Namewee.
His career has always been a dance on the edge. He built his name not in his homeland, but primarily across the sea in Taiwan, often finding himself at odds with the authorities back in Malaysia. He is no stranger to controversy, but the storm he faces now is of a different, more tragic kind.
The recent and shocking death of the beloved Taiwanese influencer, Iris Hsieh—the “Nurse Goddess”—has sent ripples of grief and speculation throughout the region. Iris was found dead at just 31, her life cut short by what appeared to be a sudden heart seizure. The tragedy took a darker turn when reports emerged that Namewee was present, and that several types of Ecstasy pills were found, with him testing positive for the drugs.
Continue reading “A Star in a Storm: The Unfolding Ordeal of Namewee”We had a comment from one of our reader asking this question:
I am Ji Earth Day Master & my year sign is Earth Sheep. I been meaning to find success in life but it remains elusive. Is my BaZi chart no good for wealth & success?
Some years back, a client recommended someone to me for a BaZi reading.
Then when I plotted the BaZi chart, I was like “wow” this is a good chart, a rich person’s chart!.
Then on the day of consultation, she came and when I revealed to her BaZi chart and reading to her, she told me “no, I don’t have money!” and she said this a couple of times over the consultation.
I was thinking, I can’t be that wrong but if she is not co-operating, might as well we end this consultation. It is meaningless because I am not able to help her further in this way.
Continue reading “How Destiny Affects Wealth: Insights from BaZi Consultation”Here is our student’s feedback and feeling after attending our Level Two course on Nature’s Way Bazi.
I came across Master Alan Chong’s Bazi courses in March 2025 and consumed his online contents for a few days before I decided to enroll in both Bazi Level 1 & 2 at once and finished them in May and September 2025, respectively. I’ve been impressed by the insights from his “Nature’s Way of Bazi” which help me to know myself and my capability better so that I can take the least resistant path for my life as who I really am. If you think you know yourself and your life situation well already before learning Bazi with Master Alan, do think twice! One other special thing that I’m really grateful for both during and after each class is that Master Alan has a spirit of a true teacher. He really cares about how well you fare in his courses. He always encourages his students to do homework and revise what we’ve learned in order to have a strong foundation to build on before the next class begins and he really means it. If you’re looking for a Bazi course and still are on the fence, look no further as this will be one of the best investments of your life. And I, myself, am looking forward to enrolling in his other courses in the future as well. Tony-Thailand
Sifu, thank you so much for the kind & generous hospitality these few days. Although intense but have enjoyed the sessions. Hope to catch up again soon in the near future. Take care !. Grace-Melaka
I first attended Bazi class with Master Alan back in 2020, during the height of the Covid pandemic.
I was very happy to learn again this year in 2025, live in-person. While the online teaching was convenient, the real learning takes place when I was able to learn it in-person!
It’s more fun to learn Bazi with fellow classmates too, rather than to learn solo online.
I look forward to future Bazi lessons with Master Alan, in-person! Zeb – Singapore
